As you are no doubt aware, the Australian Government has released it’s Roadmap to a CovidSafe Australia plan, which includes lifting of restrictions for businesses to resume operations. Under this phased approach, we expect to re-open for swimming lessons at Splashed! during Stage 2. We are eagerly awaiting the announcement from NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian about when this will come into effect.
In preparation for a successful return to lessons, we have diligently worked through the Stage 2 restrictions and combined this with guidelines from the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia to introduce new policies and adapt our procedures. For some more detailed information regarding how we are facing the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions at Splashed!, please go to the Policies Page on our website.
COVID-19 has created a major disruption to our operations (obvs!). So much so that it has become necessary to scratch the timetable we were working to in Term 1. This means that a new timetable will be complied, and it will be determined by the responses we receive from you, our valued customers. Once we have confirmed a date for recommencing classes, we will be calling for enrollments, so please keep a look out for this email, respond quickly and we can get underway!
We’re also mindful that many family budgets are likely to have been impacted by loss of, or reduced employment. If you have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19, don’t let that deter you from getting the kids into lessons. We can talk about payment plans/options when the time comes. Everything is workout-able!
With more than 1.5 million Aussie kids eager to get back to swimming lessons, the re-opening of aquatic centres and swim schools will provide significant positive health and social impacts.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you, your families and friends in the pool at Splashed! so please spread the word – we are (*nearly*) back baby!
